From Our Ministry Director
Thank you for checking out the Kingdom Missions Collective (KMC) website. We’re glad you found us, and pray the Lord will lead you to be involved with us, as we seek to encourage the church in local mission outreach.
The mission of KMC is to encourage the partnership between local churches in southern Marion County and Johnson County with parachurch ministries in the same geographical area. We do this in the following capacities:
- By raising awareness of parachurch ministries through our website; as well as newsletters and emails to specific individuals and churches.
- By helping churches and individuals find volunteer opportunities more easily in parachurch ministries.
- By connecting churches and individuals with simple ways of giving financially to parachurch ministries.
- By communicating material needs of parachurch ministries through newsletters and emails.
Throughout my many years of pastoring churches of various sizes, it seems like one of the hardest things to accomplish in a church is getting people outside the walls of the church, to both proclaim and demonstrate the good news of Jesus Christ. Involvement in a parachurch ministry is one of the ways to encourage people to become salt and light in their community. This is the mission our Lord gave us – to be His witnesses in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth. Sometimes we focus too much on reaching the world and don’t pay much attention to the people in need all around us.
KMC does not want to discourage families and individual churches to seek opportunities on their own. We simply want to make it easier to find these opportunities through parachurch ministries, and get connected in a personal way. KMC is simply a tool to be used for local outreach ministry.
