148 Ministries is a 501c3 non-profit organization that exists to reach out to women and men who have been wounded physically, emotionally, and sexually. Through the avenue of health, fitness, and wholeness, men and women find encouragement and confidence to face the difficulties of this world. Through the truth found in the word of God and hope in Christ, individuals are empowered by their right standing before the Creator of the universe as beloved children of God.

148 Ministries desires to walk along-side our clients in a way that promotes physical health while emphasizing an intimate and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We want to help them in their journey towards physical fitness and in their faith journey towards developing their relationship with God. 148 Ministries is a non-profit organization that was formed by David & Amber Storvick to reach out to women who have been wounded physically, emotionally, and sexually. Through the avenue of health, fitness, and wholeness, women find encouragement and confidence to face the difficulties of this world. Through the truth found in the word of God and hope in Christ, women are empowered by their right standing before the Creator of the universe as beloved children of God. One of the foundations of this ministry is what Paul wrote in the 1 Timothy 4:8 which says, “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” Paul recognized that fitness has benefits for us while we are on this earth. Some of those benefits are physical health, overcoming depression, self-confidence, stress relief, and increased quality of life. But Paul also recognized that godliness is critical; not only while we are on this earth, but for eternal life as well.
